Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a live-in DSP to provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Live-in model requires residing in the client’s home on a 7-day on/7-day off schedule and includes a structured payoff with built-in break times and overtime eligibility.

You will be responsible for promoting health and safety, assisting with daily living activities, and supporting personal goals in a compassionate, person-centered manner.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required due to transporting persons served.
• Must be able to live in the home for 7 days.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year caregiving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support residents while maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
• Provide companionship and personalized care to encourage independence and self-care.
• Assist with activities of daily living: dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
• Prepare meals and snacks.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks.
• Provide mobility and transfer assistance, including use of mechanical lifts.
• Implement positive behavior supports and de-escalate challenging behaviors when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
