Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a live-in Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands-on care for individuals with I/DD in their homes. The role follows a 7 day on/7 day off schedule, living in the client's home and earning full-time pay with overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities include personal care, meal prep, light housekeeping, and supporting daily living activities while maintaining safety and dignity. A valid driver's license and 1 year caregiving experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be able to live in the client's home for 7 days.
• Must be able to leave the home for 7 days.
• Age 18+ years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year caregiving experience for individuals with I/DD.
• Excellent communication for documentation and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support residents while maintaining a safe, healthy environment.
• Provide companionship and personal care while encouraging independence and self-care.
• Assist with activities of daily living: dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, eating.
• Prepare meals and snacks.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Provide mobility and transfer assistance, including potential lift devices.
• Implement positive behavior supports and de-escalate when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
