Dungarvin is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and other needs. You will assist with daily living tasks, promote independence, and participate in community activities to enhance quality of life.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Person-centered, patient and kind approach essential.
• Dependable, adaptable, and flexible with a positive attitude.
• Observant and detail oriented with good communication.
• Able to work well in a team and model respect.
• Committed to a collaborative, supportive environment.
• Basic computer skills for documenting care.
• Valid driver’s license; some roles may require own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals served.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as mobility, dressing, bathing, and personal hygiene.
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Build relationships with persons served and teammates.
• Attend community activities and events.
• Transport persons served to appointments or activities outside the home.
• Document progress, milestones, and action steps.
• No experience? Paid training provided.
