Job description

At Comfort Keepers, you will spend your days providing joy, friendship, and at-home health care services to seniors and other adults in need of some extra help.

As a caregiver, you will enable seniors to stay in their own homes while receiving medical and non-medical care. In addition to maintaining their health and wellbeing, you will work to provide positive experiences that enhance their quality of life.

Live-In Care positions are immediately available. Part-time companionship and personal care opportunities are also available. Competitive rates!

The ideal candidate will be able to drive clients using either their own vehicle or a client’s vehicle.

Caregiver RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provides companionship, conversation, and emotional reassurance to clients.
2. Assists in maintaining a safe, protected, and orderly environment.
3. Supports with daily activities such as dressing, grooming, meal preparation, medication reminders, errands, laundry, and light housekeeping.
4. Provides transportation to appointments and errands.
5. Establishes and maintains effective communication and professional relationships with clients, families, and co-workers.
6. Performs duties as outlined in the care service plan.
7. Provides personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, and ambulation, as per Comfort Keepers’ guidelines.

Successful caregiver applicants will meet the following requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• Criminal background check, motor vehicle record review, and pre-employment drug screening.

Preferred qualifications:

• Possession of PCA, HHA, or CNA license, or at least one year of professional caregiving experience.
• Open availability is strongly preferred.

COVID-19 Safety Protocols:

• Our staff is trained in infectious disease control.
• Caregivers will not care for clients exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms or testing positive, for safety reasons.
• Caregivers must stay home if ill, to prevent infection.
• Hygiene procedures are strictly followed, including handwashing, sanitizing, disinfecting surfaces, and proper coughing techniques, in accordance with CDC guidelines.
• In case of COVID-19 symptoms among staff or clients, reports, isolation, and quarantine procedures will be followed as per regulations.
