Job summary

Home Helpers of Greater Milwaukee seeks compassionate caregivers to provide in-home care for seniors, some with dementia, and clients recovering from illness in their own homes. You will assist with personal care, medication reminders, mobility, meal prep, and light housekeeping in clients' homes.

Qualifications

• Empathy and compassion for clients in their own homes.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow a care plan and respect privacy.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication reminders and support.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with physical therapy exercises as advised.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from clients when able.
• Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties the client can't complete.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
