Job summary

BrightStar Care of Seminole County is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide for a live-in caregiver role in Lake Mary, Florida. You will provide compassionate personal care, hospice support, and homemaking services to clients in their homes, following a documented plan of care.

This full-time position offers flexible scheduling across weekdays, weekends, and evenings, with paid orientation, benefit programs, weekly pay, and opportunities for continuing education.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of professional caregiving experience.
• CPR certification with hands-on training.
• TB skin test dated within the past year or chest x-ray dated within the past 5 years.
• Background check required.
• Reliable car and auto insurance.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and hygiene assistance as directed, including bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, and toileting.
• Assist with daily tasks such as feeding, meal prep, linen changes, and light housekeeping.
• Assist client with active and passive mobility as defined by the plan of care.
• Assist patients in walking and outdoor activities.
• Promote a safe environment for quality patient care per policies and standards.
• Provide live-in care with 24/7 on-call support.
• Record 91 hours per week (13 hours per day x 7) with 40 hours at $15/hr and 51 hours at $22.50/hr.

Live-In Responsibilities and Role Specifics:

• Provide personal care, companionship care and perform homemaking activities
• Medication reminders
• Hospice care
• Room and board included while on this case
• Have 24/7 on-call support
• All 24 hours of live-in day must be accounted for on daily work reporting form
• Workday includes working 13 hours per day, 8 hours of sleep and 3 hours daily of breaks.
• Be paid for 91 hours per week (13 hrs per day x 7) 40 hours at $15/hr and 51 hours at Overtime pay rate of $22.50 per hour.
• Sleep hours caregivers is required to be on the premises. Break hours the caregiver is free to leave the premises.

Requirements:

• Minimum of one (1) year of professional caregiving experience
• Valid CPR certificate with hands-on training (virtual courses not accepted)
• TB Skin test dated within the past year or chest x-ray dated within the past 5 years
