Job summary

Shine Bright Care seeks an in-home supervisor to manage an assisted living home and provide daily support to residents. duties include ADL assistance, medication support, meal planning, and coordinating medical appointments.

The role requires staying compliant with Alaska regulations, training staff, and maintaining detailed records while ensuring residents’ wellbeing and community inclusion.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field OR CNA training plus 1 year with disabilities OR 2 years with developmental disabilities.
• Two years supervisory/teaching/mentoring experience.
• Must meet licensing and background-check requirements; Criminal Background Check required.
• Must have valid driver license with 3+ years driving experience; provide driving record.
• First Aid certification required; CEUs 18 hours annually.
• Maintain agency compliance and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home support in an assisted living setting; supervise/train staff.
• Manage home finances and budget; ensure safety and compliance.
• Follow HIPAA and document daily resident records.
• Develop and implement Individual Support Plans and Plans of Care.
• Assist with ADLs, meals, shopping, medication administration, and appointments.
• Coordinate transportation and community inclusion activities.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper operation of the home.
• Orient/train new staff; complete monthly fire drills; report to Case Manager.
