Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, incontinence care, and eating.
- Participate in shift change routines, including reviewing reports, communication logs, and conducting rounds.
- Administer medications following AZDHS guidelines and Ohana policies (must be medication certified).
- Prepare, serve, and assist with meals according to dietary plans and individual needs.
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and encouragement to residents.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment, including laundry and shared spaces.
- Monitor resident rooms, clothing, and hygiene needs, ensuring dignity and comfort.
- Keep accurate daily documentation on resident care, medication, behavior, and observations.
- Report any concerns, incidents, or changes in resident condition promptly to the Manager.
- Follow all AZDHS and facility policies on infection control, safety, emergency response, and resident rights.
- Attend scheduled training, team meetings, and performance reviews.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or Manager.
Qualifications
- Certified Caregiver License (AZDHS) – Preferred
- CPR and First Aid Certification – Required
- AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card – Required
- AZ Food Handler's Card – Required
- Negative TB test results – Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift, assist, and transfer residents safely
- Strong communication skills, teamwork, and empathy
- Maintain professionalism and resident privacy at all times
Position Details
- Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour DOE
- 12-hour shifts
