Job summary

Barclays Center is seeking an A/V Technical Engineer (Part-Time) to set up and operate audio gear for concerts, sports, and events at our Brooklyn venue. You will interface with clients and production teams to ensure clear audio feeds and timely delivery of sound equipment.

The role requires at least 2 years in a related field, an associate or bachelor’s in audio technology, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays with a strong technical background.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role or related field.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in audio technology.
• Ability to work long hours covering events, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong technical background with audio systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Setup, test, and operate audio equipment for events.
• Interface with clients and production technicians for audio feeds.
• Deploy intercoms, mics, speakers, and related gear.
• Maintain organized equipment inventory and labeling.
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning cables and connectors.
• Coordinate with event managers to meet technical needs.
