Job summary

Rocky Mountain Protective Service Inc. (RMPS) is hiring reliable, customer-focused Event Security Officers for live entertainment and special events at a downtown Denver theatre.

You will help protect guests, performers, employees and property while providing a professional, welcoming experience. Shifts are evenings, weekends and holidays based on the event calendar; part-time hours vary and no minimum weekly hours are guaranteed.

Qualifications

• Current City and County of Denver Security Guard License preferred at application; valid license required before working any security shift.
• Able to complete required background checks, site training and event briefings.
• Professional customer service, clear communication and reliable attendance.
• Able to perform the essential duties of prolonged standing, walking and radio use, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Reliable transportation to the Denver worksite.

Responsibilities

• Screen guests and bags using approved procedures; report prohibited items to a supervisor.
• Verify passes and credentials; manage entrances, exits, backstage and other restricted areas.
• Observe crowd movement and queues; help keep accessible routes, aisles and emergency exits clear.
• Support assigned ticket-checking, elevator, guest-assistance or on-property pedestrian-control posts after training.
• Use two-way radios, de-escalate conflicts and follow venue emergency procedures.
• Document incidents, hazards and unusual activity; promptly notify the onsite supervisor.
