Job summary

The Villages is seeking a Part Time Lighting Technician to design, operate, and produce all theatrical lighting for concerts and events. You will assist with reviewing talent riders and communicate observations to the Technical Manager to ensure high quality productions.

Responsibilities include programming cues, servicing equipment, and maintaining inventory while delivering exceptional guest service to both internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3–5 years of related lighting experience or training.
• Three+ years in theatrical lighting required; strong English communication.
• Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and office equipment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and solve problems with attention to detail.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate lighting console for rehearsals and live performances with precision.
• Design, plot, and program lighting for in-house productions and events.
• Review talent riders and communicate observations to supervisors.
• Maintain inventory and safety of lighting equipment and supplies.
• Interface with talent, audiences, and residents to deliver great service.
