Job summary

Victory Live is seeking a Manager of Substitution Purchasing to lead the team responsible for sourcing and purchasing replacement ticket inventory when originally sold inventory becomes unavailable. This role owns the overall substitution purchasing function, including team performance, purchasing standards, approval thresholds, escalations, financial outcomes, and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of primary and secondary ticket markets and pricing dynamics.
• Experience with ticket marketplaces and primary ticketing platforms (Ticketmaster, AXS, SeatGeek, StubHub, Vivid Seats).
• Strong analytical skills; comfortable using performance metrics to manage cost, quality, and fulfillment outcomes.
• Ability to coach, direct under pressure, and hold others accountable for execution.
• Experience establishing processes, controls, or standards in high-volume environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Substitution Purchasing team, including workflow, prioritization, coaching, accountability, and performance management.
• Own strategy and standards for replacement inventory purchasing, including guidelines, approval thresholds, escalation paths, and decision frameworks.
• Oversee substitution order volume and allocate resources based on event timing, exposure, customer impact, and fulfillment risk.
• Serve as escalation point for high-cost or complex purchases and approve significant replacements as needed.
• Ensure evaluation of comparable seats and upgrades based on location, attributes, and customer impact.
