Job summary

Gateway Studios & Production Services in Maryland Heights, MO is seeking a Carpenter / Case Builder to join the Fabrication Department. The role covers layout, finish treatment of set design, road cases, flight cases, and other projects, using wood, metal, plastics and paints.

You will read drawings, assemble fabrication projects, and work with a shop team to lay out and finish builds. Safety and quality standards are emphasized, with adherence to rigging and shop procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of shop experience.
• Strong carpentry experience with various materials.
• Ability to read cut sheets, layout and fabrication prints.
• Familiarity with power tools and larger cutting equipment.
• Strong math skills and basic industry terminology.
• Understanding of shop safety terminology.

Responsibilities

• Operate all power tools as required.
• Layout, assemble, and finish all work with the shop team.
• Read drawings to create and assemble fabrication projects.
• Load and unload trucks as required.
