Job summary

The position requires strong directing and acting instincts, ability to manage timing and pacing, and collaboration with Scene Coordinator and Tech Ops. In-person, studio-based work in Hoboken with occasional evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in acting, directing, improv, theatre, or voice performance.
• Strong instinct for natural conversation, timing, and pacing.
• Ability to coach participants and provide actionable feedback in real time.

Responsibilities

• Lead script pre-reads, rehearsals, and live recording sessions, guiding participants on roles, actions, and conversational flow.
• Coach participants on natural delivery, improvisation, ad-libbing, back-channeling, pauses, and conversational beats.
• Monitor dialogue timing, overlaps, and turn-taking between personas, guiding corrections.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback during sessions to improve performances across takes.
• Balance spontaneous interactions with script requirements to meet objectives.
• Demonstrate, redirect, or adjust performances to maintain quality and realism.
• Collaborate with Scene Coordinator and Tech Ops to prep scenes, props, and equipment.
• Keep sessions efficient and meet daily scene throughput targets.
