Job summary

Oak View Group seeks an AV Technician for Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena on the UMBC campus. The role involves operating audio-visual systems for events and providing excellent client service. Part-time, with an hourly rate of $15, and duties include setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV gear.

Qualifications

• Experience with AV installation is preferred.
• Knowledge of common audio, video, and lighting equipment.
• Ability to work event-driven extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift heavy objects frequently.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and tear down all audiovisual equipment in-house, rented, or client-provided.
• Maintain proper working conditions for audio/visual equipment both physically and digitally.
• Maintain inventory of audio/visual equipment and storage areas.
• Troubleshoot audio and visual equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
• Perform job duties with minimal supervision.
• Frequent bending, carrying, moving, climbing, and lifting heavy objects during events.
• Other production duties as needed.
