Job summary

Advanced Systems Group, LLC is seeking an Audio Engineer (A1/A2) to support live productions. This flex position involves variable hours, on-site work, and travel to project sites, with duties across audio design, mixing, mic management, and cue execution.

You will collaborate with directors and clients to meet production sound requirements, perform checks, and ensure top-quality audio for both streaming and live audiences.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with audio mixing tools and consoles.
• Experience with live sound reinforcement and field setups.
• Knowledge of audio transport standards (Dante, MADI).
• Strong collaboration and communication with talent and crew.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with director, sound designer, producer, or client to define sound needs.
• Mix audio for streaming and live audiences.
• Prepare and manage handheld microphones.
• Follow run-of-show to ensure smooth production.
• Work with crew to execute audio elements before and during shows.
• Run rehearsals and update cue sheets as needed.
• Take cues from stage manager to hit cues precisely.
• Perform sound checks before performances.
• Test playback elements and ensure reliability.
• Select and deploy appropriate sound equipment for each production.
