Hearst Television’s WCVB-TV in Boston seeks a full-time Broadcast Maintenance Technician to support master control, studios, and transmission systems. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade equipment across the station to ensure uninterrupted operations and remote broadcasts.

The role requires strong electronics and IP networking skills, collaboration with IT and engineering teams, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing broadcast systems and IT equipment.
• Strong understanding of electronics and signal flow in IP networks.
• Ability to document work, communicate clearly, and work across departments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair studio and field broadcast systems.
• Support Master Control, newsroom, studios, and transmitting sites.
• Collaborate with IT on networked broadcast equipment and cabling.
• Perform preventive maintenance, testing, and documentation.
• Assist with equipment moves, installs, and project changes.
• Provide support for live news, events, and remote broadcasts.
• Coordinate with vendors during service and upgrades.
