Job summary

TelevisaUnivision, Inc. is seeking an Audio 2 Operator to join Production Operations. The role involves playing back music for live shows, mic/IFB placement, and expert use of broadcast gear including Novation Launchpad and intercom systems.

You will ensure seamless audio flow across the production area, with on-call flexibility for tropical weather contingencies and extended onsite coverage. The ideal candidate has at least an associate degree and 1 year of live show experience, plus bilingual

Qualifications

Minimum Associate degree or equivalent college degree.
Minimum 1 year experience on live shows.
Bi-lingual English and Spanish required.
Knowledge of sound, music, and acoustics.
Knowledge of microphones, IFBs, receivers, and transmitters.
Basic computer skills and Windows familiarity.
Ability to multi-task and react quickly during daily broadcasts.
On-call availability and flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Playback music for live shows using playback software/hardware (Live/Novation Launchpad).
Collaborate with A-1 and production team.
Maintain microphones, backstage monitors, communication systems and audio gear.
Monitor microphone, IFB, and RTS frequency stability.
Change batteries on microphones, IFB, and RTS equipment.
Position microphones on talents and guests, manage on-site tech flow.
Distribute and retrieve communication boxes as needed.
