The role requires energy, clear product storytelling, and the ability to engage viewers while guiding them through auctions in a busy studio environment in Culver City.

About LiveLab

LiveLab is a Los Angeles-based livestream e-commerce agency that partners with leading brands to drive sales through TikTok Shop, Amazon Live, and other digital platforms. We provide professional training, production support, and opportunities for hosts to work across fashion, accessories, beauty, collectibles, technology, and lifestyle categories.

Compensation: $20–$40 per hour, plus performance-based commission

Schedule: Flexible; approximately 15–30 hours per week based on availability, performance, and project needs

Training: Paid training provided

Position Overview

We are seeking a confident, energetic, and sales-driven Live Auction Host to lead fast-paced livestream shopping and auction sessions.

The ideal candidate can create urgency, explain product value quickly, interact naturally with viewers, and maintain strong energy while moving through a high volume of products. You will work closely with moderators and project managers to manage auction timing, pricing, promotions, product transitions, and audience engagement.

Previous livestream or auction experience is preferred. Candidates with strong backgrounds in sales, acting, retail, hospitality, content creation, brand representation, or public speaking are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Host live auction and flash-sale broadcasts on TikTok Shop and other digital platforms
• Present products clearly, confidently, and enthusiastically on camera
• Explain product features, condition, value, pricing, and relevant details accurately
• Create excitement and urgency around limited-time offers and auction countdowns
• Guide viewers through bidding, purchasing, and checkout procedures
• Respond to viewer questions and comments in real time
• Maintain a fast, engaging rhythm while transitioning efficiently between products
• Communicate promotions, discounts, bundles, and calls to action
• Build trust with viewers while encouraging purchasing decisions
• Work closely with moderators to coordinate product order, pricing, inventory, and auction timing
• Follow approved scripts and auction procedures while presenting naturally
• Learn assigned product information and prepare before each livestream
• Conduct pre-stream product checks and organize items in the correct selling order
• Participate in paid training, rehearsals, and approved promotional video shoots
• Review performance feedback and continuously improve presentation, pacing, and sales performance
• Maintain professional attendance, communication, appearance, and workplace conduct

Qualifications

• Comfortable speaking and selling on camera for extended periods
• High-energy, expressive, confident, and persuasive presentation style
• Strong sales instincts and the ability to create urgency without sounding unnatural
• Able to think quickly and adapt to changing prices, inventory, and viewer activity
• Strong communication, storytelling, and audience-engagement skills
• Comfortable presenting multiple products in a fast-paced environment
• Able to learn product details, pricing structures, and auction procedures quickly
• Reliable attendance and professional communication
• Receptive to coaching and able to apply feedback
• Available to work on-site in Culver City
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Experience

• Livestream auction, TikTok Shop, Whatnot, Amazon Live, or other live-selling experience
• Auctioneering, retail sales, telemarketing, hospitality, or brand ambassador experience
• Acting, modeling, content creation, public speaking, or event-hosting experience
• Familiarity with fashion, handbags, accessories, beauty, collectibles, electronics, or lifestyle products
• Experience working with sales targets, conversion goals, or performance metrics
• Ability to present product value and comparisons quickly and clearly
