Job summary

The Archdiocese of Omaha invites a dedicated individual to lead liturgical worship at St. Columbkille Church in Papillion.

This role focuses on planning and coordinating parish liturgies, music ministry, and volunteer ministry programs, with responsibilities across weekends, Holy Days, funerals, and weddings. You will recruit and train volunteers, supervise choir and cantors, manage worship resources, and ensure lawful music licensing.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of Roman Catholic liturgical theology and practices.
• Proficiency in music leadership and keyboard accompaniment.
• Experience directing choirs and coordinating volunteer ministries.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and oversee all parish liturgies.
• Coordinate recruiting, training, and scheduling liturgical ministers.
• Prepare worship aids and liturgical resources.
• Oversee liturgical books, vessels, vestments, and supplies.
• Maintain worship technology and equipment.
• Lead parish music ministry and direct choirs.
• Recruit and support cantors, accompanists, instrumentalists.
• Ensure copyright compliance for music licensing.
