Under the guidance of the pastor, you will select, rehearse, and coordinate sacred music, and serve as lead accompanist. The role requires coordinating with parish staff, inviting volunteers, budgeting for liturgical music, and maintaining an instrument library and tuning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Music or related field strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in organ, piano, conducting, and vocal coaching.
• Minimum 3 years experience as liturgical musician or director.

Responsibilities

• Select music and serve as lead accompanist for weekend Masses and Holy Days.
• Rehearse with the choir once per week and collaborate with parish staff.
• Schedule other musicians for weekend and Holy Day Masses.
• Prepare annual budget for liturgical music and ensure expenses follow budget.
• Maintain a sacred music library for assembly, choirs, cantors, and instrumentalists.
• Educate participants on sacred music's role in liturgy per Church documents.
• Ensure tuning, maintenance, and repairs for instruments at worship sites.
