Job description

Littler Mendelson P.C. is seeking an attorney with a minimum of 6 years of employment law experience to join Littler CaseSmart (LCS) as a Littler CaseSmart Counsel, Charges attorney. The candidate should possess excellent academic credentials and must be licensed to practice law in their state of residence and called in any Canadian province. Pursuant to California, Columbus and Cleveland, OH, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington, and Washington, DC regulation, the salary (pay) range for this position is $130,000 to $165,000 annually and includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Responsibilities

• Defense of each administrative agency charge and attorney demand letter assigned from investigation through conclusion.
• Frequent communication with clients and administrative agencies.
• Drafting position statements.
• Responding to agency requests for information.
• Representing clients in settlement negotiations and remote mediations.

Full-time, remote attorneys with a reduced billable hours requirement and no obligation to engage in any business-related travel or business development.

Qualifications

• Familiarity and experience with administrative agency charges, preferably at both the federal and state levels on the management side.
• Minimum of six years of employment law experience, including drafting persuasive position statements and representing clients at hearings and/or mediations.
• Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
• Active bar license in the state of residence and be called to the bar in any Canadian province (Ontario preferred).
