Job summary

DLA Piper’s Litigation group invites exceptional law students to join the summer program in San Diego. Open to 1L (2027 summer) or 2L (2028 summer) candidates, the role focuses on developing litigation skills through trials, appeals, and counseling, with pro bono opportunities.

You’ll be assigned a supportive team and participate in a 10-week program to gain a realistic view of life as an associate. Ideal candidates have an interest in litigation, with Law Review or Moot Court preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Attention to deadlines and delivering quality work.
• Willingness to engage in trials, appeals and related counseling.

Responsibilities

• Support on trials and appeals during the 10-week summer program.
• Work with assigned team and receive feedback throughout the program.
