Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal to join our Irvine office. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong litigation support skills and a deep understanding of California civil procedure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage assigned cases and related tasks from inception through resolution
• Perform a full range of litigation paralegal duties including discovery, trial prep, and post-trial support
• Conduct background checks on parties and clients (criminal, litigation history, bankruptcy, social media)
• Prepare and submit Public Records Act and FOIA requests
• Draft and respond to discovery requests; assist with document production and case file management
• Locate and coordinate witnesses for depositions and trials
• Prepare deposition subpoenas, notices to consumer, and manage service of process
• Review and summarize discovery responses and deposition transcripts
• Track deadlines and assist with meet and confer letters and motions to compel
• Prepare trial documents including witness lists, exhibit lists, jury instructions, subpoenas, and on-call letters
• Maintain trial binders and exhibit sets; assist with witness interviews and folder preparation
• Draft pleadings including declarations and separate statements for summary judgment motions
• Create and maintain CaseMap files; link documents and coordinate with litigation support
• Upload and manage documents in Eclipse (IPro); prepare for production and bate stamping
• Maintain databases of discovery, transcripts, expert witness info, and other litigation materials
• Travel as needed for trial support, including war-room setup and AV coordination
• Collaborate with vendors and internal IT/litigation support teams
  
  

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of civil litigation paralegal experience
• Strong knowledge of California civil procedure and trial preparation
• Proficiency in legal software (CaseMap, Eclipse/IPro, Adobe, Microsoft Office)
• Excellent organizational, research, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently
• Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred
