Job summary

Morgan & Morgan, P.A. seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team. You will work closely with attorneys, supporting before, during and after trials in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include preparing pleadings, filing court documents, conducting legal research, coordinating depositions and assisting with case settlements. Strong multi-tasking and superior communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of litigation experience required.
• Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program preferred.
• Experience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or related injury practice preferred.
• Must be able to multi-task and manage workload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient in calendaring depositions, mediations and hearings.
• Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, court rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints and legal memoranda.
• E-file court documents in state and federal court.
• Communicate with clients, court and counsel; conduct legal research and factual investigation.
• Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories and responses; draft and serve summons.
• Coordinate and summarize depositions; prepare trial binders and exhibits.
• Assist with case settlements and other attorney tasks.
• Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes; organize exhibits and documents.
• Liaise between trial teams and third parties; witness preparation.
