Job summary

Morgan & Morgan in Indianapolis is seeking a dedicated floater to train and support several attorneys and case staff on rotation. This position trains for an eventual move to a highly sought Litigation Paralegal role.

Successful candidates will handle tasks such as shadowing paralegals, gathering case information, drafting pleadings, and preparing settlement documents, with emphasis on organization and communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years as Administrative Assistant, Receptionist, or support role preferred in law or corporate legal dept.
• Highly organized with ability to multitask and prioritize with a positive attitude.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including good presentation skills.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate with multiple employees.
• Proficient in computer programs, databases, Microsoft Office Suite, and typing at least 35 wpm.

Responsibilities

• Shadow Litigation Paralegals and support attorneys and staff on rotation.
• Gather and analyze information related to injury claims and investigate case facts.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents for filing with the court.
• Prepare documents and correspondence to reach settlements in each case.
