If you are a confident, knowledgeable, and proactive litigation paralegal who would be comfortable working independently and remotely, you'll fit right in!

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle case initial investigations and client and case-related communications
• Draft legal pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other correspondence
• Manage case files, deadlines, and electronic filings in state and (rarely) federal courts
• Conduct legal research and prepare and send notices, demands, and other prelit communications
• Organize documents for trial preparation, including exhibits and witness coordination
• Negotiate liens and settlements with third parties
• Assist clients with finding medical providers
• Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of legal procedures from Texas case filing to resolution
• Proficiency in legal research tools
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently to meet deadlines
• Paralegal certification or relevant degree preferred, not required.
