Job summary

Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm, seeks a litigation paralegal for an on-site role in Lakeland, FL. You will work closely with a lead attorney and legal assistant, handling document preparation, e-filing, and discovery tasks, with a focus on efficient legal support.

The position includes a competitive pay and bonus plan, and requires 2+ years of paralegal or legal services experience, plus relevant education or certification.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal or in legal services under an attorney/law firm.
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent; Paralegal program preferred.
• Paralegal completion or certification preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and manage workload in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and memoranda.
• E-file all court documents in state and federal court.
• Communicate with clients, courts, counsel, and others.
• Conduct legal research and factual investigation.
• Prepare discovery documents, Interrogatories, and responses.
• Draft and serve summons; coordinate and summarize depositions.
• Prepare trial binders and exhibits with the legal assistant.
• Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes; organize exhibits and documents.
• Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
