Job summary

Morgan & Morgan, P.A. seeks a floater to train and support several attorneys and case staff on rotation, ultimately progressing toward a Litigation Paralegal role. This position trains for advancement within a large consumer rights firm.

The compensation for this role is $20/hour and provides growth opportunities. Shadow, gather information, draft pleadings, and assist with settlement efforts while working in-office on rotation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years as Administrative Assistant/Receptionist or support role preferred in a law firm or corporate legal dept.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills; ability to present well.
• Highly organized with multitasking ability and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Shadow Litigation Paralegals and support staff on rotation.
• Gather and analyze information related to injury claims.
• Investigate case facts and nature; assist in preparation of materials.
• Draft pleadings, motions and appellate documents for court filing.
• Prepare documents and correspondence to facilitate settlements.

Summary

This role will work as a floater in our office, training and supporting several attorneys and case staff on rotation. This position trains for an eventual move to a highly sought Litigation Paralegal position.

The compensation for this role is $20/hour and provides growth opportunities.

Successful candidates will be responsible for areas including but not limited to the following:

Responsibilities

• Shadow Litigation Paralegals
• Gather and analyze relevant information pertaining to the injury claims
• Investigate the nature and facts of cases
• Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents to file with the court
• Prepare documents and correspondence necessary to reach a settlement in each case

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, Receptionist, or Support Role preferably in a law firm setting or in a corporate legal department
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and demonstrate attention to detail with a great attitude
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including good presentation skills
• Willingness to learn and work with multiple employees within our organization
• Extensive expertise in computer programs, databases, Microsoft Office Suite, and type no less than 35 wpm
• Remote and/or hybrid not eligible
