Job summary

Morgan & Morgan is seeking a floater to train and support several attorneys and case staff in Memphis. The role rotates and trains for an eventual move to a Litigation Paralegal position.

The compensation for this role is $20/hour, and the position is full-time with on-site work only. The candidate will shadow senior paralegals, gather and analyze injury-claim information, and draft filings to support settlements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in administrative or support role, preferably in a law firm.
• Highly organized with multitasking and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong presentation skills.

Summary

This role will work as a floater in our office, training and supporting several attorneys and case staff on rotation. This position trains for an eventual move to a highly sought Litigation Paralegal position.

The compensation for this role is $20/hour.

Responsibilities

• Shadow Litigation Paralegals
• Gather and analyze relevant information pertaining to the injury claims
• Investigate the nature and facts of cases
• Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents to file with the court
• Prepare documents and correspondence necessary to reach a settlement in each case

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, Receptionist, or Support Role preferably in a law firm setting or in a corporate legal department
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and demonstrate attention to detail with a great attitude
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including good presentation skills
• Willingness to learn and work with multiple employees within our organization
• Extensive expertise in computer programs, databases, Microsoft Office Suite, and type no less than 35 wpm
• Remote and/or hybrid not eligible
