Safeguard Law Group, PLLC. in New York City seeks a Paralegal (Hybrid) to support civil litigation matters for a consumer protection practice. This full-time role emphasizes drafting pleadings, managing a busy docket, and coordinating with clients and opposing counsel.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of civil litigation experience, excellent legal writing, and strong organizational skills. Paralegal certification and Salesforce experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year civil litigation experience (e.g., drafting pleadings and legal research)
• Exceptional legal writing skills
• Superior organizational and time-management skills
• Must be computer literate: Ability to easily learn the Firm’s case management software
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and outside parties
• Prior experience with Salesforce is a plus
• Paralegal Certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assisting the firm’s attorneys in managing a high volume of litigation matters
• Drafting pleadings, legal memoranda, settlement agreements, etc.
• Communication with clients and opposing counsel
• Research with regard to simple and complex legal matters
• Administrative responsibilities such as client intake, organizing, and record keeping.
