Job summary

Safeguard Law Group, PLLC in New York City seeks a litigation paralegal to support attorneys in high-volume civil matters and assist with administrative office tasks. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of civil litigation experience, strong legal writing, and excellent organization. Salesforce familiarity is a plus. This is a full-time role in our Financial District office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year civil litigation experience (drafting pleadings, legal research)
• Exceptional legal writing skills
• Superior organizational and time-management skills
• Proficient with case management software
• High ethical standards and professional integrity
• Strong interpersonal skills with clients, staff and outside parties
• Salesforce experience is a plus
• Paralegal Certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in managing a high volume of litigation matters
• Draft pleadings, legal memoranda, settlement agreements, etc.
• Communicate with clients and opposing counsel
• Conduct legal research on simple and complex matters
• Handle administrative tasks such as client intake, organizing, and recordkeeping
