Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support a high-volume North America collection litigation portfolio. This role collaborates with in-house attorneys, outside counsel, and business teams to manage cases from intake through resolution and closure, ensuring timely updates and accurate documentation.

The ideal candidate is highly organized with deep litigation lifecycle knowledge, experience in financial disputes, and the ability to identify risks, drive process

Qualifications

• Litigation support experience preferred, with high-volume caseloads.
• Strong organization, deadline management, and attention to detail.
• Ability to coordinate with attorneys, outside counsel, and stakeholders.
• Experience with legal research, drafting, and document-review.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume North America litigation portfolio with case info and calendars.
• Track pleadings, discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Assist attorneys with research, document review, discovery, and preparation.
• Draft and organize pleadings, correspondence, and case chronologies.
• Coordinate among in-house counsel, outside counsel, and business teams.
• Work with financial records and damages calculations.
