Job summary

Becker, a Florida-based law firm, seeks an experienced paralegal to support attorneys across litigation, discovery, and case management. You will meet with clients and attorneys, draft motions and affidavits, and organize case files.

Applicants should have Florida and federal court knowledge, a paralegal certificate or 5 years of experience, and strong research, writing, and organizational skills. Travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication; professional drafting skills.
• Strong knowledge of Florida and U.S. District Court procedures and electronic discovery.
• Experience with discovery, pleadings, and case management.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Meets with attorneys, clients, and professionals to discuss cases and evidence collection.
• Drafts motions, affidavits, and discovery.
• Researches statutes, regulations, and judicial decisions; provides written analysis.
• Performs all aspects of discovery including drafting responses and subpoenas.
• Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves case files and exhibits.
• Assists attorneys with trial preparation and attend trials, hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Oversees case file organization and workflow; delegates tasks to assistants as needed.
