Akerman LLP in New York seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its busy litigation practice. The candidate should have at least five years of paralegal experience and be organized, proactive, and detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include supporting all phases of litigation, managing case files and deadlines, preparing pleadings and discovery materials, coordinating filings in NYS and federal courts, and using Relativity and other litigation technology.

Qualifications

• Five years of litigation paralegal experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong knowledge of NYS and federal court filing procedures.
• Experience with discovery, document production, and trial prep.
• Proficiency with Relativity, Microsoft Office, and litigation support tech.
• Ability to manage priorities and deadlines independently and collaboratively.

Responsabilités

• Support attorneys through all phases of litigation, including discovery and trial.
• Manage case files, deadlines, and large volumes of documents.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery materials, and other documents.
• Coordinate filings in NYS and federal courts.
• Prepare deposition summaries, exhibits, and trial materials.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to meet client needs.
