Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a paralegal or similar role, preferably in insurance defense.
• Experience supporting attorneys, managing discovery, and organizing case files.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and legal document drafting.

Responsibilities

• Draft legal documents including correspondence, pleadings, and contracts.
• Manage discovery by organizing, reviewing, and producing documents.
• Review and summarize medical records, bills, and key materials.
• Support trial preparation and attend hearings or trials as needed.
• Conduct legal research and summarize findings.
• Maintain up-to-date case files and calendars.
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and experts.
• Track and record billable hours per firm guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

Boyd & Jenerette is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a solid work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Location & Commitments:

• Practice Area / Department: Litigation - Georgia
• Status: Full-Time / Non-Exempt
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week.
• Work Location: Hybrid / In-Office options available for this position.
  • Must be able to commute to Savannah, GA office.

Responsibilities:

Requirements & Competencies:

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role (insurance defense preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of court and administrative proceedings.
• Familiarity with lawsuit summaries, litigation files, and legal record maintenance.
• Proficiency in administrative tasks.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
• Must meet billing goal expectations.
