Job summary

Boyd & Jenerette is seeking a dedicated Appellate and Litigation Support Attorney to join our team. This role supports trial counsel with appellate and insurance defense matters and offers a fully remote option for candidates who reside in Florida.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in insurance-related law, strong research and writing skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently while meeting billing goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in insurance-related law (first/third party actions, insurance coverage, bad faith, personal injury, auto liability, premises liability, property damage, products liability).
• Strong legal research and writing background.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
• Must meet billing goal expectations.

Responsibilities

• Work with trial counsel to provide litigation and trial support in insurance defense matters.
• Handle all aspects of appeals.
• Attend trial if necessary to serve as appellate counsel and provide trial support.
• Conduct legal research, assist with hearings, and provide legal counsel to clients.
• Analyze legal matters, advise clients, and negotiate on their behalf.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and clients for efficient case management.
• Maintain up-to-date client files for easy access by the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Location & Commitments:

• Status: Full-Time / Exempt
• Work Location: It is the attorney’s choice whether to work remotely or at an office if located near one of the firm’s offices.
