Job summary

Qualifications

We are currently seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys being an integral part of the litigation process and working closely with attorneys on complex and challenging matters.

About the Role

As a Litigation Paralegal at Porter Scott, you will play a key role in supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation. You will work on a variety of matters, including public entity defense, employment, construction, professional liability, business litigation, and general civil litigation cases.

Your responsibilities will include reviewing and summarizing records, managing subpoenas, coordinating experts and independent medical examinations, assisting with discovery, preparing deposition and trial materials, and helping attorneys prepare for mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trial. You will work closely with attorneys, clients, vendors, experts, and court personnel to ensure matters move forward efficiently and deadlines are consistently met.

This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of litigation paralegal experience.
  • A paralegal certificate or qualifications consistent with California Business and Professions Code §6450.
  • Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and deadlines.
  • Experience reviewing and summarizing records.

Experience in insurance defense, public entity defense, employment law, medical malpractice, or other civil litigation practice areas is highly desirable.
