Company Overview: The Law Offices of Daniel A. Hunt is a fast-growing law firm specializing in Estate Planning, Trust Administration, Probate, Trust & Estate Litigation, and Real Estate Litigation. People are our number one priority. We value our clients and employees above all else. We are in search of an experienced litigation paralegal for our Sacramento office. We are looking for a team member who cares first and foremost about people, is kind, accountable, smart, and driven. The ideal candidate must be organized, emotionally intelligent, and thrives under pressure.
This position supports our attorneys and legal team in working effectively and efficiently. Important responsibilities include attention to detail, critical thinking and ensuring that paralegal tasks and projects are completed with a high level of efficiency, confidentiality, accuracy, flexibility, and positivity in order to support the attorneys and our firm.
You’ll work closely with the Firm’s Litigation Partner drafting discovery requests, discovery responses, preliminary drafts of law and motion documents, and pretrial documents. Trial experience is required, as this role includes assisting the Litigation Partner at trial, including travel out-of-county as needed. Experience with General Civil Litigation is required; experience with Trust and Estate Litigation in the Probate Courts is a strong plus but not required. A strong, working knowledge of the Code of Civil Procedure and pre-trial deadlines is essential.
We invest in our people. Strong performers in this role have a clear path toward greater case ownership, supervisory responsibility over the paralegal team, and long-term advancement within the firm.
