Job summary

Career Group represents a distinguished mid-sized law firm in Midtown NYC seeking a Senior Litigation Paralegal to join a collaborative team. You will provide advanced litigation support to attorneys in all phases of complex civil litigation and may mentor junior paralegals.

The role requires strong trial experience and offers a hybrid schedule (3 days on-site, 2 days remote) with a base salary of $125,000 to $145,000 plus discretionary bonus and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 8+ years’ experience in the litigation field.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Pacer ECF and NYS Court Filings.
• Strong proofreading and research skills; excellent time management and organization.

Job description

Our client, a distinguished mid-sized law firm, is seeking a Senior Litigation Paralegal to join their impressive and collaborative team! This role will provide advanced litigation support to attorneys in all phases of complex civil litigation, and will serve as a key resource on procedural rules, court requirements, and best practices, and may mentor junior paralegals.

Location:

Midtown NYC

Hybrid:

3 days on-site, 2 days remote

Compensation:

$125-145k base salary + discretionary bonus and competitive benefits

Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys with all facets of case management: document productions, preparing for and attending depositions, conducting extensive legal and factual research as well as, participation in case teams for mediations, arbitrations and trials. This includes preparing case chronologies, exhibits, and evidence, and managing post-trial procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 8+ years’ experience in the litigation field, preferably in a mid-to-large sized firm.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, the Pacer ECF system, and the NYS Court Filings System
• Strong proofreading and research skills
• Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, handle urgent projects and tight deadlines and be willing to travel for out of state work
