Job summary

Connect Search LLC, partnering with a Midland law firm, seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in civil or commercial litigation and can independently manage case responsibilities while supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation.

Responsibilities include drafting pleadings and motions, coordinating discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation; maintaining case files and calendars; conducting legal research;

Qualifications

• Paralegal certification or degree, or 5+ years of paralegal experience.
• Experience in civil or commercial litigation.
• Experience with contracts and related matters.
• Knowledge of litigation procedures, discovery, and court filings.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet competing deadlines.

Compensation: Up to $90,000 DOE

Position Overview

Connect Search is partnering with an established Midland law firm seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its team. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional with a strong background in civil or commercial litigation who can independently manage case responsibilities and support attorneys through all phases of litigation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support attorneys in civil and commercial litigation matters.


• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal correspondence.


• Assist with contract review, disputes, and related documentation.


• Coordinate discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.


• Maintain case files, court calendars, and critical deadlines.


• Conduct legal research and organize supporting case materials.


• Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.


• Manage multiple active cases while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

• Paralegal certification, paralegal degree, OR 5+ years of paralegal experience.


• Demonstrated experience in civil or commercial litigation.


• Experience with contracts and contract-related legal matters.


• Knowledge of litigation procedures, discovery, and court filings.


• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.


• Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines.

Preferred Experience

• Commercial litigation and contract disputes.


• Complex civil litigation and trial preparation.


• Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a law firm environment.
