Job summary

Sutton | Booker | P.C. is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal in Colorado to manage and move complex matters forward from initial investigation through discovery, settlement, trial, and appeals.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in a law office or litigation environment. You will work closely with attorneys, clients, witnesses, and courts to keep cases on track and prepared for all stages.

We’re looking for an experienced, detail-oriented litigation paralegal to join our team and play an important role in managing and moving complex litigation matters forward.

This is more than a document-and-deadline position. Our paralegals are trusted members of the litigation team who anticipate what attorneys and clients need, take ownership of their work, and help drive cases from initial investigation through discovery, settlement, trial, and appeals.

What You’ll Do

As a Litigation Paralegal, you’ll work closely with attorneys, clients, witnesses, and courts throughout the life of a case. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing case management and litigation support
• Conducting detailed reviews of newly assigned cases, helping to identify and gather information needed as cases move into discovery
• Assisting with litigation filings, client reporting, and case updates
• Supporting attorneys in coordinating and working with experts
• Helping with mediation reports, confidential evaluations, and settlement documentation
• Playing an integral role in coordinating and preparing cases for pre-trial, trial, and post-trial

Ideal candidates will have:

• An associate degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field; a paralegal certificate; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years of related experience in a law office or litigation environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound judgment and the ability to identify when an issue needs to be escalated.
• A client-service mindset and professional, courteous communication style.
• The ability to work independently while also being a collaborative member of a litigation team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
