Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience as a Litigation Paralegal in a law firm is required.
  • Proficient with litigation support tools and document management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation from onset through post-trial.
  • Oversee organization and handling of case materials and documents.
  • Manage discovery, depositions, and document production; track review progress.
  • Prepare witness memoranda, summaries, and coding tools; conduct legal research.
  • Coordinate filings, pleadings, and service; draft common pleadings and motions.
  • Support trial prep: notebooks, exhibits, witness schedules, and calendars.
  • Maintain daily time-keeping; support post-trial filings as needed.

Join our Litigation Team as a Paralegal - Las Vegas Office

Position Summary

The Litigation Paralegal will provide organizational and practice‑specific assistance to attorneys in the department in preparing cases from onset through post‑trial, including related research and analysis. Qualified candidates demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities while working in an organized, efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation cases from onset through post‑trial
  • Oversee organization, maintenance, and appropriate utilization of documents and other case‑related materials, including maintenance of client‑presentable work areas and case rooms
  • Assist and manage the discovery process, prepare for depositions, propound and respond to written discovery, and prepare for expert discovery
  • Oversee and conduct document reviews and productions; prepare documentation regarding criteria changes; track and report on review progress and results
  • Perform analytical tasks, prepare witness interview memoranda, review and summarize documents, deposition transcripts, and create and use substantive coding tools
  • Assist with basic legal research, including locating cases, statutes, and regulatory materials; conduct fact research on internet and private search engines, such as Westlaw and Lexis
  • Assist with law and motion practice, assemble motion papers and exhibits, coordinate filings of pleadings and briefs, and ensure proper service
  • Draft common pleadings, motions, notices and other court filings
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state rules of procedure and evidence for document format, content, filing, etc.; perform and oversee authority and fact cite‑checking; confirm case quotes, proofread briefs and other legal documents
  • Assist and manage trial preparations, create trial notebooks, identify and organize exhibits, coordinate witness schedules, maintain trial calendars, and communicate effectively with opposing counsel and courtroom staff
  • Assist in preparation of post‑trial filings including briefing, motions for costs and sanctions, and organize the case for appeal if necessary
  • Maintain timely and accurate time‑keeping records on a daily basis
  • Assist with other department activities as needed and perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • Excellent client service skills and ability to work on multiple matters simultaneously in an organized manner and under minimal supervision
  • Skilled at drafting clear and concise memoranda, detailed fact summaries, pleadings and other documents
  • Flexibility and ability to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands
  • Position periodically requires off‑site work at a war room or the courthouse when the case goes to trial
Education & Prior Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Certificate in Paralegal studies from an accredited institution preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Certified Paralegal a plus
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal within a law firm with demonstrated knowledge of complex issues within the Litigation practice area
  • Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly
  • Trial experience, including exhibit preparation, witness preparation and management, knowledge of subpoena preparation, experience working with judicial assistants and trial presentation vendors, experience assisting attorneys in the courtroom
  • Computer proficiency in Windows‑based software and Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, as well as document management
  • Proficiency with E‑filing and litigation support applications such as Relativity, Opus 2 and Adobe Acrobat

  • Proactive approach to learning and adapting to emerging AI and related technologies and contributes to a culture of innovation
Expected Pay Range For This Position Is

$48.68 to $54.49 per hour. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job‑related factors permitted by law. Full‑time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401(k), vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program. Additional voluntary programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary critical illness and cancer insurance and pet insurance.
