Job summary

Adams & Martin Group seeks an experienced litigation paralegal to support our growing personal injury practice across the Kansas City Metro area. This role requires a meticulous, compassionate, and highly organized professional dedicated to client advocacy.

The position entails managing caseloads from discovery through resolution, drafting pleadings, coordinating medical records, and assisting attorneys with trial preparation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience (preferably in personal injury).
• Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures.
• Experience handling discovery, medical record analysis, and trial preparation.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office and legal case management software.
• Paralegal certificate preferred but not required with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a substantial caseload from litigation through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
• Coordinate collection and review of medical records, billing records, and other case-related documentation.
• Assist attorneys with case strategy, trial preparation, and mediation preparation.
• Schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
• Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files.
• Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, experts, and insurance representatives.
• Prepare exhibits, witness files, and trial notebooks.
• Monitor court deadlines and ensure compliance with filing requirements.
