Job summary

Connect Search, LLC in Houston is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to independently manage active matters and deadlines throughout the litigation lifecycle. You will support attorneys with drafting, discovery, and case management to ensure timely, thorough filings and preparedness for mediation and trial.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law-firm environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with discovery and litigation case management.
• Ability to independently manage multiple active cases and deadlines.
• Strong legal drafting and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage active litigation matters and case deadlines.
• Draft and respond to interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, subpoenas, pleadings, notices, and other litigation documents.
• Coordinate and manage discovery, including gathering client responses and organizing document production.
• Review, organize, and summarize case records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with deposition preparation and prepare deposition summaries.
• Coordinate witnesses, experts, and other litigation-related activities.
• Assist attorneys with mediation and trial preparation.
• Prepare trial exhibits, witness materials, exhibit lists, and trial binders.
• Handle state and federal court filings as needed.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case information and outstanding documentation.
• Maintain accurate case files, calendars, and litigation deadlines.

Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite

Compensation: $70,000–$85,000, depending on experience

A growing Houston law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its team. This position is ideal for a litigation professional who is comfortable independently managing an active caseload and providing substantive support throughout the litigation process.

The successful candidate will have strong drafting, discovery, case-management, and organizational skills and will be able to anticipate attorney needs while managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision

Preferred Experience

• Plaintiff personal injury, civil litigation, or commercial litigation
• Texas state and federal court filing
• Medical-record review and medical chronologies
• E-discovery and document production
• Litigation case-management software
