Job summary

Clarke Gallagher Barbiero Amuso & Glassman Law in the Montgomery County area seeks an experienced litigation paralegal with 5 to 8 years of hands-on support across all phases of litigation.

You will draft pleadings, manage case deadlines, organize discovery, coordinate with clients and experts, and maintain meticulous files in both paper and electronic formats. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple priorities.

Qualifications

  • Paralegal certification or equivalent experience in a law office setting.
  • 5–8 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and deadlines.
  • Experience handling a variety of cases.
  • Ability to analyze and summarize complex documents.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and correspondence.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with case management systems and MS Office; NetDocuments a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with all phases of pre-lit and litigation, including case inception, preparation, filing complaints, discovery, and trial support.
  • Draft and proofread pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and settlements.
  • Manage and track case deadlines, including court filings and discovery schedules.
  • Contact clients, witnesses, and experts to gather pertinent information.
  • Review and analyze legal documents for relevance and accuracy; prepare summaries.
  • Assist with deposition and trial preparation, including exhibit organization.
  • Maintain accurate case files in physical and electronic formats.
  • Handle all aspects of discovery, including document production and interrogatories.
  • Communicate effectively with clients with professionalism and empathy.
  • Support admin tasks: data entry, filing, scheduling depositions, and deadline management.

Clarke Gallagher Barbiero Amuso & Glassman Lawis seeking an experiencedlitigation paralegal with 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience supporting attorneys in all phases of litigation matters. The role involves working on a broad range of cases and the ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities while adhering to strict litigation deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys with all phases of pre-lit and litigation, including but not limited to case inception, case preparation, filing of complaints and other court documents, complete discovery, and trial support
  • Draft and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and settlements
  • Manage and track case deadlines, including court filings and discovery schedules
  • Contact clients, witnesses, and experts to gather pertinent information for ongoing cases
  • Review and analyze legal documents for relevance and accuracy; assist in preparing summaries for attorney review
  • Assist with deposition and trial preparation, including exhibit organization
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files in both physical and electronic formats
  • Handle all aspects of discovery, including document production and interrogatories
  • Communicate effectively with clients, demonstrating professionalism and empathy
  • Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, scheduling depositions or court dates, and managing deadlines to ensure smooth case progression, while adjusting for changing priority level tasks in accordance with attorney requests.
