Job summary

TalentBridge in Chicago is partnering with a national litigation law firm to hire an experienced Litigation Paralegal. The role supports civil matters through discovery, filings, and trial preparation, working closely with attorneys to manage case files and deadlines.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of litigation paralegal experience, an associate degree or paralegal certificate, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal software. Insurance or complex civil litigation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary liaison between attorneys, clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third parties.
• Organize, maintain, and manage litigation case files and supporting documentation.
• Draft and prepare legal documents including pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, interrogatories, and related filings.
• Conduct legal and case-specific research to support litigation matters.
• Coordinate all phases of discovery, including document collection, review, organization, and production.
• Assist attorneys with deposition preparation, witness coordination, and pre-trial case development.
• Prepare trial materials including exhibits, witness binders, demonstrative evidence, and hearing notebooks.
• Schedule and coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, court appearances, and client meetings.
• Maintain litigation calendars and monitor court deadlines to ensure timely filings.
• Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation from case inception through trial.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document/case management software.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently while managing competing deadlines.
• Experience supporting insurance litigation or complex civil litigation is a plus.
