Job summary

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP in San Francisco seeks a Litigation Practice Assistant to provide high‑impact administrative, operational, and legal support. You will work closely with trial attorneys and firm operations to streamline workflows, manage a high volume caseload, and help modernize legal services at scale.

The role offers hands‑on experience with emerging technologies, training in AI and legal operations, and exposure to both business and practice sides of a leading global law

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a litigation legal assistant.
• 3+ years civil litigation calendaring and court filing experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to produce concise deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and litigation support to a busy team of trial attorneys.
• Manage complex calendars across multiple time zones.
• Draft, proofread, and edit legal correspondence and briefs.
• Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, and clients.
• Assist with end‑to‑end billing and matter economics.
• Serve as a digital fluency coach for attorneys and peers.
