Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services is recruiting for a Litigation Legal Assistant in Orlando, FL. The role requires 3+ years of defense litigation experience and a preference for candidates who have supported commercial or construction litigation matters in a law firm.

You will provide high-level support to attorneys in a fast-paced environment, handling file management, document preparation, calendars, and client billing while maintaining strong client relations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of defense litigation legal assistant experience in a law firm.
• Commercial litigation and/or construction litigation experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures and terminology.
• Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files and records.
• Open new matters, including conflict checks, and close files per procedures.
• Maintain and update database records as case/client info changes.
• Create charts, spreadsheets, and documents to track case information.
• Prepare, type, proofread, and edit legal documents from dictation or notes.
• Manage attorney calendars, contacts, and file listings.
• Schedule meetings, conference rooms, depositions, and other appointments.
• Assist with client billing: input attorney time, edit bills, deliver bills.
