Training & Recruiting Manager, AGG Legal Staffing

We are currently looking for an experienced litigation paralegal for our Los Angeles, CA office. A national law firm specializing in subrogation and recovery for the worldwide insurance and self-insured markets. The Paralegal will be responsible for assisting attorneys with legal document preparation, preparation of damage summaries, communication with clients and other professionals, legal research, and document review.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 6 years litigation experience
• Strong knowledge of California law and legal document preparation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented and skilled in research, document review; subrogation and recovery is a plus
• Experience with legal databases and discovery software

Responsibilities

• Document review, i.e., claim files, independent adjuster reports, insured’s documents
• Preparation and review of damage summaries
• Litigation tasks – responding and propounding discovery, trial prep, etc.
• Drafting documents and deposition summaries

Working Conditions

• No billable requirement; expectation to track hours close to 7 hours a day
• Most cases are in a pre-litigation stage, with maybe 20 to 25% being put into litigation
